Obituary of Renae Jean Pavlovich

Renae Jean Pavlovich, 63, passed away January 29, 2017 in her home in Cocoa, Florida. Renae was born in Superior Wisconsin to Arthur and Beatrice VanHorenweder on September 16, 1953. Renae grew up in Superior and went on to get her Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior. In 1976, Renae was wed to Lewis J. Pavlovich. Renae later received her Masters Degree from Central Michigan University.  Renae taught at Wabeno Elementary School in Wisconsin for 9 years, and spent the majority of her career, nearly 25 years, teaching at Merrill Elementary School in Michigan. She spent a lot of her time directing elementary plays, working with the Merrill Band Boosters, and assisting with several special creative projects that taught elementary kids what it means to start and run a successful business, and how to dream big. While in Michigan Renae also enjoyed scrapbooking and tandem bicycling. The family kept a regular tradition of bicycling Mackinaw Island for many years. After retiring, Renae was excited to move to Cocoa Florida, where she had many adventures alongside family and friends that included kayaking, bicycling, classic movie Wednesday, regular trips to the Brevard Zoo and countless visits to quilting shops. Amongst many things, Renae was a crafter. She enjoyed all mediums of art, most specifically quilting and sewing. Renae created many beautiful works of art for her family and friends. Renae is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beatrice; and father in law Frank Pavlovich. Renae is survived by her husband Lewis Pavlovich; brother Rodney (Karen) VanHorenweder; son Ryan (Jilian) Pavlovich; Daughter Leah (David) Moore; and four grandchildren, Lyla, Dexter, Ever and August.
