Virginia Pagano

Obituary of Virginia “Ginger” Pagano

Virginia Mary Pagano passed into peace on January 10th, 2020, at 84 years old. Ginger, as we all knew her, was born in Mt. Vernon, New York, to Gaetano Peluso and Mary Defillipo. She was the youngest of five children and is survived by her sister Antoinette. The family moved to Florida during her childhood, and in 1955, Ginger proudly graduated from Miami Edison Senior High School. She married Nunzio Pagano in a beautiful November 1st, 1969 ceremony at St. Rose of Lima. Ginger loved music and a good Italian meal, and had a soft spot for desserts. She possessed a generous and patient soul. But she had a stubborn streak, too, that helped her accomplish whatever she put her mind to. Her home was filled with beautiful plants she carefully nurtured (African violets were a favorite) and beautiful family she cared for fiercely, with all her heart. She is survived by her husband, son Tommy, niece Caroline, and numerous other adored nieces and nephews. Although we will gather to mourn Ginger’s death, let us remember to celebrate her life. She will be with us always in cherished memories and held dearly in our hearts.
