Obituary of Lynn Sheets
Sheets, Lynn was born July 8, 1929 and passed away October 14, 2015. Lynn was a sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended college at Butler University.
Lynn was a school teacher, garden club member, patron of the Jacksonville Symphony, avid reader and a dedicated wife to Naval Pilot, Capt. Roger E. Sheets. They had 62 years together. Roger E. Sheets passed just six months ago-as in their life-she will follow him to a higher place. Lynn would say, +óGé¼+ôthey had a great life, the journey was grand and she did it her way+óGé¼-¥. She was ready to join Roger and did it with such strength and dignity. She was able to be with her daughter and grandchildren the last few months before passing peacefully.
Lynn and Roger moved together 32 times before settling in Jacksonville, Fl, where they resided for over 20 years, on the river that they both loved so much.
Lynn was preceded in death by her son, Bill and husband, Roger. She is survived by her sister, Maxine Cruchfield Kilby; daughter, Cynthia Skaar; son in law, Richard Meckes; grandchildren, David, Thrisha, Laura, Lindsey, Jessica, Stephen and nine great grandchildren.
Lynn will be missed by so many for her wisdom, strength, kindness, and positive outlook on life.
