Obituary of William Richard Baczynski
William Richard Baczynski, 94, died October 16, 2017 in Melbourne. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to Stanley and Anna Baczynski on July 15, 1923.
William served in the US Army during WWII. He met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann Metten, while serving in Paris, France in July of 1945.
After WWII, William served in the West Virginia National Guard until 1960 when he was re-called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. William went on to serve a tour in Korea and Vietnam as well as Europe and the East Coast
William retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer-4. Upon retirement, William had 32 years of active duty and National Guard service. After he retired he pursued and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
William was also an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church as an usher as well as other volunteer services.
William is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Ann Baczynski and his son William Baczynski and his wife Judy.
William will be honored with full military honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, FL on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 1p.m.
