Obituary of Carl Derrick Marsh
Carl Derrick Marsh, age 80, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019.
He was born on May 12, 1939 in Labyrinth, St. Mary Jamaica, W.I. to the late Julius Marsh and Edna Pottinger-Marsh, both of whom preceded him in death.
Carl will be deeply missed by his daughter, Tricia Marsh-Joseph and her husband Ray Joseph; brother, Vincent Marsh, sister, Marjorie Delapenha; grandchildren, Kendall Joseph and Kyla Joseph and many nieces and nephews.
Carl received a Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and was a member of Alpha Kappa psi fraternity. He also received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nova University in South Florida.
He worked at Miami Dade County’s office of Community and Economic Development as a Business Development Specialist.
He loved cruising and his beloved home island of Jamaica. He also had an enormous passion for family. He spent many years researching the Marsh family history and he was the mastermind behind the family’s very first reunion in 2000.
He left us with the gift of greater understanding about the Marsh family history.
Carl’s family will carry on his strong tradition of “one Family” in his honor for years to come.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 3, 2019, 11:30am at Episcopal/Anglican Church of the Blessed Redeemer 1225 DeGroodt Road SW, Palm Bay, FL 32908.
