Obituary of Robert T. Marcyan
Robert T. Marcyan, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at his home with his loving wife, Nancy, by his side.
Born in Bronx, New York, Bob lived in New York City and Vermont before moving to Palm Bay in 2013 and then to Melbourne in 2019.
Prior to his retirement in 2007, Bob made his living in New York City as a building superintendent, and then as owner-operator of Big Apple Express, a messenger and delivery service. After moving to Vermont in 1990, he maintained seasonal properties on Lake Bomoseen in the Town of Castleton.
For 39 years, Bob was a wonderful and devoted husband, to his wife Nancy (Fortune). He is also survived by his son, Frank Marcyan (wife Sandra) of Melbourne, daughter Bobbie Lyn Feltovic (husband John) of Fayetteville, NC, sister-in-law Elly Marcyan of Westtown, New York, sister-in-law Marie Fortune of Ballston Lake, New York, brother-in-law Robert Fortune of Mechanicville, New York, his “second daughter” Ann Marie (Marcyan) Thomas (husband Daniel) of Westtown, New York, cousins Kathy Reinsch and Kevin Hogarty of Yulee, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by grandchildren Alex Marcyan and Jerry Marcyan.
Bob is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Marcyan, his brother-in-law Richard Fortune and his sister-in-law Anne Fortune.
Having many very close and caring friends, Bob enjoyed their company and maintained relationships with his friends and their families for years. Cruising was his passion, having sailed the ocean blue 18 times in the last 20 years, and 2 of those cruises were within the last 18 months of his life. He was also an avid New York Giants football fan and never missed watching a game since the time he was a young boy.
There are no calling hours.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Vitas Healthcare of Melbourne, Florida.
