Obituary of Ida Mae Boris

Ida Mae Boris, Age 81, went to be with her Lord on December 5, 2014 while at home in Sebastian, Florida. She was born on April 26, 1933 to Archibald and Ethel George, a faithful family of florists from Springdale and New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating from Springdale High School, Ida went to work in the drafting department at Edgewater Steel Company. She married Daniel Corr and devoted her time and energy to raising her family. With her kind and gentle manner, she later served others through her work in health care. Ida was a gifted pianist, and she will be remembered by beautiful impromptu recitals performed at home. She enjoyed sewing crafts including crochet and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother; she is survived by her children, Susan (Dennis) Tippin, Daniel (Rebecca) Corr, and Connie (Timothy) Kust; her grandchildren, Michael, Allison, Amanda, Meagan, Tori, Erin, Shannon, and Julia; and her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dominic, Haylie, and Joshua. She is survived by her sister, Sara Holtin. She is preceded in death by husband Daniel Corr, husband Joseph Boris, brothers Arch and Harry, and sister Frances. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Memorial services will be officiated by Reverend Russ Horne on Friday, December 19, at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Boris will rest alongside her late husband, Joseph, at Greenwood.Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution is asked to donate to the American Diabetes Association or other non-profit researching a cure for diabetes.
