Obituary of Gail G. Dixon
It is with our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of Gail G. Dixon, going home to Heaven to be with her savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on January 11, 2018, while in the loving care of the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL.
Born to the late William (Smitty) and Gerda Roberts, on September 7, 1943 in N. Bellmore, NY, Gail moved into the Melbourne area in 1963. And in the years since, has made countless friends, who can attest that Gail put the wants and needs of others before herself. A true friend to the very end of her life. She was a member of Calvary Chapel, West Melbourne.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Will Dixon of Melbourne; sons Roger (Di) Kempfer, Atwood, TN, Christopher (Heather) Kempfer, Apex, NC; daughters Patti (Steve) Kanter, Clayton, NC and Robin Kempfer-Walker, Atwood, TN; brothers, Steve (Maureen) Roberts, N. Bellmore, NY and George Roberts, West Melbourne, FL.
The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff for their outstanding care while at home and her final days at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
A celebration of life service will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request, if desired, donations be made in Gail’s name to the Hospice of Health First, 1131 W. New Haven Ave., Suite 102, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
