Obituary of Polly Houck

MICCO- Polly Jean Shepherd Hottinger Houck, 72, passed away Friday, October 25th, 2019, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family. Born in Blanchester, OH, she moved to Florida in 1977 with her beloved husband Denver. Polly worked various jobs over the years, from working in a children’s home to factory work and cleaning, but her favorite job titles were as Mother and Grandmother. She leaves behind her son, Denver W. Houck, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Palm Bay, Fl; daughter, Tiffany P. Wagner of Micco, Fl; and five grandchildren, Lucy, Tori, Arabella, Liam, and Gunner. She also leaves behind her sister Patty Lydick, and many nieces and nephews she considered as her own children. She was preceded in death by her husband Denver W. Houck, Sr.; her parents Bud H. and Hazel P. Shepherd; sister Peggy Byrd; brothers Buddy, Frank, Tom, and Mike Shepherd; and her nephews Stevie and David Lydick. Polly will be laid to rest with Denver. Services will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Micco. Dates and times of the services will be announced by the family at a later date.
