Obituary of Harriet Marie Baldwin

Harriet Marie Nolan Baldwin, passed away peacefully in Palm Bay, Florida on January 21, 2019. Born in the Bushwick Section of Brooklyn, New York, she attended Hofstra University and was in the banking industry after her family moved to Massapequa, Long Island, N.Y. She married Joseph Baldwin and had 4 children: Harriet Baldwin Carter, Joseph Sylvester Baldwin, Jr., Anita Baldwin Cotti and David Michael Baldwin (who preceded her in death). Harriet and her family moved to Hawley, Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono mountains, Pennsylvania, to raise the children and take part in a family business venture in 1962 and moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1972. She embarked on a “new life career,” at Patrick Air Force Base at the lowest civilian level, but eventually rose to a liaison position in which she coordinated everything from mundane meetings to high profile logistics for astronauts, politicians and the media. She made countless lifelong friends at Patrick, to whom we are grateful. Harriet’s grandchildren are Brian Baldwin, Alexandra and Sloane Baldwin, Eric and Deanna Cotti, Hannah Baldwin and Brianna Fafard and great granddaughter, Charlie Cadence. A private, family ceremony will take place at Brevard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, hug your mother.
