Vargas is survived by his wife of 18 years, Norma Vargas Apolinaris; his daughter, Viviana Vargas along with stepchildren and grandkids; Iris & Kyle (Saniya, Lanaiyah, Kaleeya, Kaleb and Micah), Gabriel & Linda (Eliana, Domonic and Nicole), Jeannine (Jasmine, Gabrielle and Lanah); his father, Miguel Vargas; his siblings, Carmen Hernandez, Luz Enriquez, Gina Enriquez, Eloy Vargas, Wanda Vargas, Luis Alberto Vargas, Andres Vargas, Mary (Mariluz) Santiago; extended former-stepchildren, Caroline, Jessica, Betsy, Janice and Beatriz.
