Obituary of Henry S. Schieferstein

Henry died on New Year’s Day 2017 in Melbourne, FL at age 93. He was born in Lorain, OH and was a member of the Greatest Generation. Henry was a B-24 pilot in the Pacific, graduated OSU (Go Bucks!) in 1949, and worked his entire career at Nationwide, where he retired as Assistant Treasurer. He was a lifelong Mason and Shriner and a persistent golfer. Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife Irene Farewell Schieferstein and his mother Julia Bruce. He leaves behind to sadly mourn; his daughter, Amy S. Williams of Melbourne; grandsons Samuel F. Williams (Ashley Lockhart) of Melbourne and John M. Williams (Angela) and two great-grandsons, Alexander and Andrew of Plainfield, IL. No services will be held, to honor Henry’s wishes. Memorial Contributions may be made to any Wildlife Association of your choice.
