Obituary of Earle “Pete” Hancock
Earle +óGé¼+ôPete+óGé¼-¥ Hancock, age 789, born on August 17, 1936, passed on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. He served in the US Air Force for 26 years, as a distinguished rifleman on the USAF Rifle Team, and as a baritone trumpet player for the USAF Band.
Pete played short stop for baseball’s Cincinnati Reds Farm Team and was associated with the Indian River Players Theater.
In 1977 he won best actor at the Florida Theater Conference and again in 1983 at the Regional Conference in Savannah GA.
He loved golf and traveling, and gambling at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Mississippi. Pete loved his family and will be dearly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mickey and sister, Jeanne.
His surviving family includes his daughter, Cindy, her husband, Gary and their children, John and Ian; son, Steven, his wife, Karen, their daughter, Amy, and their great grandchildren, Skylar and Kaitlyn; his brother, Charles; and his niece, Kris Madden.Donations in his memory should be considered to the American Cancer Society or the the US Air Force Association.
