Obituary of Katherine Merchant

Katherine Merchant, age 67, formerly of Manchester-By-the-Sea, MA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 7th, 2015. She is survived by her 5 daughters: Kathryn Hayman, Kimberly Stone, Hillary Young, Ashley Pollock, and Harmony Burbine; her grandchildren: Aaron, Amber, Mia, Raven, Loki, Ian, and Django; nephew: Lee Malo; and countless other friends and family that she held dear to her heart. Katherine was proud to have served her country in the United States Marines Corps. She was a dedicated registered nurse for many years. Along with her children, the greatest joy of her life was spending time her soulmate and husband, Bruce Burbine. On Sunday April 19, 2015 there will be a brief ceremony on the back shore at 11:30 a.m., across from 101 Atlantic Rd. Gloucester, MA, where her ashes will be joined with those of her soulmate. A reception to follow at the American Legion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, at 14 Church St, Manchester, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boston ChildrenGÇÖs Hospital in KatherineGÇÖs memory.
