Obituary of Joyce Margaret Covey

Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away on October 7th, 2019. Joyce was born in Brisbane Australia on September 7th, 1926. As a young girl, she became a competitive cyclist. Joyce participated in many competitions and received many trophies. In 1943, Joyce married Mack May, an American sailor stationed in Brisbane. In 1944, Joyce and her 6 week old son Barry left Australia on a troop ship bound for the US. Joyce lived in Florida from the time she arrived in America until her passing. She will always be remembered as loving and kind by her family and all who knew her. Rest in peace Mom. Your loving son, Barry, Daughter in law, Toni, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
