Obituary of Harold Vincent Arkenbout

Harold Vincent Arkenbout, 66, of Melbourne, FL, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, in his home, surrounded by friends and family. Harold was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Air Force. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 35 years. He was very proud to have worked as a Park Ranger for the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge for the past several years. He enjoyed building model airplanes and his extensive collection will be donated to the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum in Tico, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Arkenbout; two sons, William (wife Heidi), and Richard (wife Lynda); his brother, William Thorpe; his sister, Sharon Colescott; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 26, at Ammen Family Funeral Home, 1001 Hickory Street Melbourne, Florida, 32901.
