Obituary of Maryellen Hughes

Maryellen Hughes, 60, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Melbourne, Florida. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 23, 1955 to Rita D. & Robert M Hughes. She grew up in Lake Ronkonkoma on Long Island, graduating from Connetquot High School. She went on to the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY, where she graduated with a degree in Fashion Illustration. Maryellen worked in the fashion industry in Paris, where her work was published in Paris fashion magazines. She worked for several famous designers, including Halston, and designed and manufactured clothing under the label Divine Lines. Maryellen is survived by her mother Rita D. Hughes; sisters Rita M. Hughes, Nancy Brewer, and Patti Miller; nieces Katie Hall, Kelly Brewer, Jamie Sypniewski, and Kristy Brewer; nephew Robby Hughes; great nephews Gregory and Nicholas Hall; and great niece Kensington Sypniewski.
