Obituary of Gertrud “Trudy” Marie Doran

Your life was a blessing Your memory a treasure You are loved beyond words Missed beyond measure Trudy a beloved wife, mother, oma, sister (in-law), aunt (tante) and dear friend to all who knew her went to her eternal home on 1/20/17 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of predeceased retired MSGT Lloyd Doran. Loved mother of Barbara Tamm and Karen Eberle (Thomas) and Oma to Anthony & Rebecca Tamm and Joshua (Sarah) & Ryan Eberle. Born in Gocklingen, Germany daughter to late parents George and Elisabeth Biehler (Germany). Dear sister of predeceased brothers Walter Biehler, Oskar Biehler (Germany), Fritz Biehler (Canada) and sister, Ilse Schmitt (Germany). Surviving siblings Annel Lehenbauer, Inge Kuhn, Richard Biehler (Germany), and Klaus Siebje (Brazil) In 1957 Trudy married Lloyd, her beloved American Air Force soldier, and she embraced the military life style for 20 years of their 46 years of marriage in which she became a US citizen.  After lots of moves retired to Florida where she volunteered with many organizations: church, nursing homes, Easter Seals and VITAS.  Her many interests included her love for gardening and nature especially birds. She traveled with friends and family along with her walker to Germany, Brazil, Italy, Holland, Canada, Colorado and several national parks. We wonder how many miles she put on her walker. Mom was an awesome cook and baker and passed her passion to her children and grandchildren. She learned to play her organ and performed for the family. Most important was her love for Jesus, which she demonstrated in her life.  Mom was able to thank God during the challenge of battling cancer with smiles and keeping her sense of humor. We are all blessed to have been a part of a beautiful life.  Thank you Mom for sharing.  Trudy will be missed by family and friends. Services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Febuary 04, 2017 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory St, Melbourne.
