Obituary of W.H. “Buddy” Thompson
January 20, 1947 – June 28, 2018
W.H. Thompson, 71, known to family and friends as “Buddy”, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 peacefully at Palm Bay Hospital. Born in Olney, Maryland on January 20, 1947 to Washington Howard Sr. and Mary Thompson. He moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 1989 from Virginia.
While living in Maryland, Buddy worked for Coke-Cola Company as a delivery truck driver before coming a supervisor for many years.
When he moved to Virginia in 1982 he owned a country store with his wife, Jeanette for 7 years.
Buddy moved to Florida in 1989 where he worked for Florida Chemical Services for 15 years.
In 2005 Buddy started working for Brevard School Board as a custodian at Hoover Middle School in Indialantic, Florida for 7 years before retiring in 2012 due to his health.
Survived by his wife, Jeanette Thompson; two daughters, Becky (Bryan) Wade and Stacie Thompson; two sons, David (Audrey) Thompson and Steven Thompson; his mother, Mary Thompson; five sisters, Pat (Bill) Gregg, Evelyn (Roger) Dailey, Jean Wright, Margaret Thompson and Catherine Huffer; five nieces Kimberly, Tina, Tammy, Jennifer and Jody; nephew, Alex; two grandchildren, Savannah and Ryan Thompson and many close friends.
