Obituary of Jeanie Irick Murphy
Jeanie Irick Murphy of Indialantic, Florida, was born on May 14, 1932, In Aiken South Carolina. She passed away peacefully on February 2, 2014 in the arms of her devoted husband of nearly 35 years. She was truly a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, with family spanning three generations.
A real GÇ£Southern BelleGÇ¥, Jeanie was known for her quick, beautiful, infectious smile and a genuine caring for all those she came in contact with GǪ she truly never met a stranger. Her sophistication, grace, style, effervescent personality, warmth, vivacity, and vitality quickly filled any room she was in and noticed by anyone she was with. She was the true-to-life embodiment of such strong, fictional women as Scarlett OGÇÖHara, Auntie Mame, and even Tinkerbell, each in any measure demanded by the situation.
Her working career traversed many diverse fields, including Public Relations, Bar and Grill proprietor, Model, and Medical Transcriptionist, ultimately retiring as the Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant to a Senior Vice President of The Boeing Company.
Her survivors include her husband, Frank B. GÇ£PatGÇ¥ Murphy; sons Michael Swanberg, Brian Swanberg, and Jason Murphy; daughter Kelly Spencer; grandsons Travis Swanberg, and Keegan Murphy; granddaughters Nicole Swanberg, Rachel Swanberg, Alivia Murphy and Riley Murphy; great grandson Brock Swanberg; and great granddaughter Paige Swanberg.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her sister, Sybil Ready, and her grandson LCPL Shane Swanberg, a U.S. Marine killed in Iraq.
JeanieGÇÖs Celebration of Life Service is Thursday, February 13, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation Center and Funeral Care, 1001 S.
