It was very sad news to hear of Bill’s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Huckeby family. Bill was a very special person and taught me more than I can say here.
He was a humble man who always seem to find the good
in everything. He could make what in my mind some kind of serious problem seem minor just by his demeanor and rationalization. He gave to me a sense of trust and confidence that stays with me today. He always brighten my hectic day with his “Don’t worry about it, we’ll fix it” attitude. Though I hadn’t seen Bill or Shelly in some years I always new that I’d be welcome in there home. All these years later I still have the house key on my key ring, I just never took it off and Bill wouldn’t take it back each time I tried to give it. That key for me has been and always will be my connection to a man I hold in high regard. I think of you often.

Wishing we hadn’t moved so far away that we missed the many years with Bill and Shelley. You were two of the rare and enjoyable friends that never disappear in our minds though. Love you like siblings…

Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of grief. My hope is that the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort, when he stated that “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” (John 5: 28, 29). We can also take comfort in God’s personal promise to “wipe out every tear” and that soon, even “death will be no more” (Revelation 21: 4).

Shelley and family, We were indeed saddened to hear of Bill’s illness and his going home to be with the Lord. We always looked forward to seeing you and Bill at Summersville, W Va and at Denton, NC at the bluegrass festivals. I enjoyed so much listening to him sing and play the autoharp. And that smile was so infectious. We are so honored to have known Bill and to continue to stay in contact with you. May the Lord continue to give you all comfort and peace in these trying times. Billy and Virginia Morris

We only knew you while cruising the last 5 years but that was enough to consider you and Shelley one of our favorite couples. We loved your humour and easy going nature. You will be missed!!!!!
