Obituary of Clarence Reinhardt Muth
Cal Muth, also known as Skip, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Norma and Clarence Muth, Sr, then raised in Wauwatosa. The youngest of three children, he was the only boy.
After graduating high school, Cal attended the University of Wisconsin. In 1952 – a big year – he graduated, married Kay Kelsey and joined the Navy. On the USS Moale, he served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade, the youngest officer on board.
After serving 4 years, Cal joined the Incentive and Motivation business, working with companies like E.F. McDonald and American Express. He earned his MBA in 1957 from Northwestern. In 1970, he married Judy Kass and raised her children, Larry, Lorie and Jeff, along with his own.
Cal loved golf, college football and travel. In his lifetime, he visited all 7 continents and over 120 countries. An adventurer to the end, he went sky diving and learned to scuba dive when he was over 75 years old.
He is survived by his children, their families and his best friend: Michael Muth; Steve, Jane, Clark, Kate and Cort Muth; Carol Muth, Derek, Waverly and Ross Noble; plus his beloved miniature schnauzer Scooter.
Cal died in hospice care, just shy of his 90th birthday. A funeral service was held at Ammen Family Funeral Home in Palm Bay, Florida on Saturday, October 18, 2019.
In his honor, donations can be made to National Military Family Association, an organization that supports those who serve and their families.
