Douglass Hall May, born November 23rd 1923 in New York, NY to Elizabeth M. Keay and Russell P. May, went to our Lord December 24th 2018 at age 95. Doug was an active father and husband who endeavoured to make a better life for his family. Doug was one of the first volunteers inducted into the Navy after Pearl Harbor was attacked and served honorably on 2 tours in the South Pacific. After serving his country, Doug acquired his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Air Conditioning from Purdue University. Soon after Doug married his sweetheart Helen M. Dewsbury (May) and had two sons, Douglas Prescott May (Predeceased), and Kenneth Hall May who resides in Titusville. Douglass will be remembered as an inventor, author, a mentor and coach to his sons and those who he would extend his kindness to. He was a true gentleman! Douglass H. May and his son (Douglas P. May) are next to each other at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with their “Brothers and Sisters.”
