Obituary of Pauline Diaz

Beloved wife of the late Michael Diaz (died in 1981), and mother of Michael, Jaime and Richard. She is survived by her sons; her grandchildren Michael, James, Nicole, Sophia, and Ysabel, as well as her great-grandchildren Michael and Cooper. Born to Susanna (nee Benitez) and Manuel Quinones-Brach in Vieques, Puerto Rico, Pauline settled in New York in 1946 where she lovingly raised her three boys as a full time mom. An avid seamstress, Pauline often made dresses for her granddaughters as well as many other young girls who affectionately called her “grandma”. She volunteered at the Regis High School library in Manhattan from 1973 until her retirement in 2007. In 2010 she moved to Florida to live with her son, Richard, where she enjoyed spending time with her close family and friends. Celebrate a life well lived. A Funeral Mass was held at Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, New York followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Shrine Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
