I was Danny’s childhood friend in NY. We didn’t speak much after he moved but I never forgot the positive impact he has on my life and I don’t know where I’d be today if I didn’t have him as a friend then.

Cathy. I’m so very sorry that Daniel is gone. There is no love on earth like that of a mother for her son. Kind, sensitive, courageous people like Daniel enrich all of our lives. You are a beautiful person, inside and out, and I know Daniel was too.

Dear Sis,
Your heart is my heart. Our bond is so strong, so when a piece of your heart aches in despair, so does mine. Each person we meet throughout
our lifetime impacts us, and they, in that sense, become a part of us, as Danny will always be.
So I choose to remember my beautiful, sweet, compassionate, inquisitive and insightful nephew with these words from a poem I have always loved.
“I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow”
“I am the the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain”
“When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush”
“Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft star that shines at night”
In a life cut short, the impact Danny had will not be! He has found peace, one of your favorite words.
He and Dad are together. Take a small modicum of comfort knowing that.
Brendan knows all too well your pain. He and I love you so much…we are always here for you.
Love, Margery and Brendan

Dearest Cathy,
There aren’t any words to say to ease the profound pain and loss you are feeling!!! I have fond memories of Danny. One silly one in particular. One day when I was with Danny,Josh and Jake in Flushing Meadow Park,we all climbed a tree together, ate mangoes pretending to be apes.We laughed a lot.Good Times.I remember Danny to be a good natured, sensitive person.Danny was a special kid,who unfortunately never had the chance to reach his potential. He is looking down Cathy with love in his heart and a Big Smile on his face wanting you to be okay.We will miss Danny, but hold on to the loving, fond memories in this way he lives on God Bless His Soul!!! Jack&Tina
