Obituary of Francis J. “Frank” Sheehan
Francis J. GÇ£FrankGÇ¥ Sheehan, 87, of Indian Harbour Beach, died on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. He was born in Haverhill, MA on March 26, 1927 to the late Frank and Florence Sheehan.
Frank worked for IBM in both Kingston and Poughkeepsie, NY for 35 years. He was an accountant, programmer and first line manager. He was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. He loved his church and his church family. His involvement for 33 years with GÇ£friends of LoisGÇ¥ touched many people and families.
In his 50’s, he started the sport of running. He was very proud to have completed five marathons, including the NYC Marathon. He is now running in heaven with his dear friends Ed Thibodeau and Johnny Kelley. At the age of 81, he said that he wanted to go sky diving, and he did!
Frank is survived by the love of his life, Marlene; his children, Michael (Maryanne), Patricia, Jim (Maureen) and John; his grandchildren, Colleen (Matt) Martin, Brendan Sheehan, Justin, and Jennifer Sheehan; four great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Alana, Aaliyah and Alivia; his loving step-daughter, Susan (John) Stone and their four sons, Matthew, Jason, Aaron and Peter; and his sister, Janet (Roland) Boisvert. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Shields.
