Obituary of G. Edward Traister

G. EDWARD TRAISTER passed into a better place from his home in Melbourne Beach, FL on March 10, 2017. Eddie was born in Curwensville to Frank H. and Nannie (Strickland) Traister on June 20, 1927. He is survived by Helen, his wife of 67 years, and a daughter Paula (John) Gaetano of Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a son Michael, a son-in-law John Gatchell, three sisters:  Helen, Olive, and Louise and two brothers:  Frank and Richard.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.  He was the last of his generation. Edward was a US Navy Veteran and retired in 1986 (after 39 years) from the former Clearfield Cheese Co. Memorial contributions may be made to the Curwensville Presbyterian Church.
