Obituary of Barbara Gayle Little

Barbara “Bobbie” Gayle Little, 64, transitioned peacefully Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Palm Bay, FL. A loving and devoted mother she leaves her daughters, Towana Poe of Baltimore, MD and LaToya Hawkins of Melbourne, FL; and granddaughter, Diaymon. Barbara is survived by her mother Gurdie Mae Little of Lakeland, FL; brothers Willie Little, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Warren Little of Clermont, FL, and Sylvester Little of Lakeland, FL; sisters Albezine Goff of Brandon, FL, Theresa Little-Brown of Lakeland, FL, and Lillian Bowe of Lakeland, FL. Born in Lakeland, Florida February 2, 1951, Barbara resided and worked primarily in Polk County most of her life. Barbara was employed by the Polk County School Board, where she held various positions dealing with different disciplines/programs. In the summer 2008, Barbara retired after 35-years of committed and dedicated service to Education. Long known for her positive outlook on life and her sense of humility, Barbara then pursued a career path in the healthcare industry; thus she became a CNA. In the summer of 2010, she moved to Baltimore, MD and became a dedicated and committed CNA to her client with Alzheimer’s disease. In the summer of 2013, Barbara moved back to Lakeland, FL.Memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Word Alive Ministries, 302 E Memorial Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33801.In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Barbara G.
