Obituary of Michael “Cookie” Edward Schoening
Michael “ Cookie” Edward Schoening, 66, of Melbourne, Florida passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Florida Hospital in Orlando.
Michael was born October 17, 1951 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Betty and Charles Anderson. He was a Marine Vietnam Veteran, former commander of the American Legion #742 in Fairview, Pennsylvania, also a former member of the Color Guard.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jesse Tyler Schoening, recently his brother Dan Anderson and his parents Betty and Charles Anderson.
He is survived by his son, Ian Michael Schoening, his wife Stephanie Bragg; grandchildren Landon, Nataley, Brooke and Ethan, also his son Bryce Alan Schoening; brother Chuck Anderson; sister Chris Anderson; brother Jeff Anderson and many extended family members.
Michael enjoyed a passion for classic cars, karaoke and was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He will always be remembered for his Hawaiian print shirts and Panama Jack hat.
The boys would like to thank all of Mike’s friends for being so supportive, especially Paul and Suzy Mey and a very big thank you to my mother Jodie Nicely.
