I met Janet when she began her career with the Florida Department of Labor in Bartow. She was an enthusiastic and energetic worker, as well as a great friend to all of us in the office. I do not remember a time when she was not smiling and cheerful. Although it has been close to twenty years since I last saw her, I remember her and can hear her laughter as though it were yesterday. She was a very special person whom I greatly admired and I was saddened to read of her passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of her family.

Janet was a one of a kind person. She was warm and welcoming but also told you what she thought honestly and with conviction. She was a loving friend and advisor for our daughter and a great friend and neighbor to us when we needed her most. The relationship she had with Gary and her family is one we all want to emulate. Our sympathy to Gary and the kids (2 legged and 4 legged) she loved so much.

I shall always remember Janet for her love of dogs and her concern for the dogs we were fostering. She had a wonderful heart and was a fun member of our lunch group. My deep condolences to Gary and family.
