Obituary of Alan D. Burgess

Alan D. Burgess entered his eternal rest on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the age of 82 in Rockledge, FL. Until recently he had resided in Mentcle, PA. He was born in Lincoln, NE on October 18, 1934. He fought a good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith. In August 1956, he married Arleene Bozzer and together they had three children: Dan (Jan), Lois (Walt) Williams, and Becky Durfee. He was blessed with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving him is a sister, Carol (Gene) Yerian; a brother-in-law, Dan (Melanie) Bozzer; two sisters-in-law, Esther (Buddy) Liles and Lois (KC) Hembree and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held as follows: Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 1:30, at the Lady Lake Wesleyan Methodist Church, 2905 Griffin View Drive, Lady Lake, FL Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church, 12th and Church Streets, Indiana, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Indiana Wesleyan School, 18215 Route 403 Hwy N, Dixonville, PA 15734.
