Obituary of James G. Wilcox

West Melbourne May 30, 1925 – July 15, 2018 Commander James G. Wilcox, Jr. (Ret.) born May 30, 1925, left his earthly home on July 15, 2018 at the age of 93. He begins his new adventure alongside Millie, his beloved wife of 70 years. He enlisted at the age of 17 in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served in three wars – World War II, Korea, and Vietnam over his 29- year career. Commander Wilcox is survived by his three children, all residing in Florida as well as six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jim and Millie’s last wish was to be buried together at sea surrounded by family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in his honor, to the charity of your choice.
