Obituary of John “Tom” Smith

John Thomas Smith, 90, of Palm Bay went home to be with his Lord on June 3. Tom was born to the late Dean and Nina Smith on February 28, 1925 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. He served as a Medic in the Navy during World War II. Formerly of Cincinnati, Tom retired from Cincinnati Frisch+óGé¼Gäós. Tom was known for his kindness, compassion, generosity and work ethic. Tom was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. He leaves behind his wife, Ethel Bell Smith; daughters, Mary and Patty; son, Ron Buchanan. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 13th at 2p.m. with Military Honors to follow at Heritage Baptist Church, 2250 Wekiva Lane, West Melbourne, Florida 32904.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to cover expenses.
