Obituary of Virgil William Faulkner
Virgil William Faulkner passed to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1934 in Texarkana, AR to Troy V. and Therese Cross Faulkner.
He graduated from North Heights High School in Texarkana and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1958.
He was a Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist, for over 40 years, serving in private practice, clinical practice or in Rehab Medicine Departments of the Marshfield Clinic (WI) and the Universities of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), Texas (San Antonio), and Hong Kong Polytechnic (HK, China). He was a co-patentee of Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacture of Prosthetic Sockets for amputees.
He is life member of several Masonic organizations, and First Baptist Church of Cocoa. Virgil loved hunting and fishing. With the onset of dementia, he retired to Viera, Florida in 2008.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lynnette; son, William Troy Faulkner (Jacqueline) of Viera, FL; daughter, Carolyn Faulkner-Beitzel (Mark) of Drexel Hill, PA; son, Lawrence Wayne Faulkner of Kyle, TX; three grandchildren, Lillian F. Beitzel (NY), Andrew W. Faulkner (FL), and Catherine J. Faulkner (FL).
Arrangements by Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Rockledge, FL. Burial will be at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
