Obituary of Roger W. Smith

Roger W. Smith, 65, peacefully passed away on October 17, 2015 in the company of his family in Titusville, FL after a prolonged illness. Roger was born October 24, 1949 in Washington, DC to Jay Smith and Mary Keiss. After over 30 years of dedicated service, he retired from the Washington Post. Roger was very artistic and enjoyed making jewelry and the culinary arts. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and the love he had for his family. Roger is survived by his partner Ronald Stepien, sisters Jennifer Garrison and Barbara Crews, nephew Jonathan, niece Sarah, nephew Christopher and great-nephews Luke, Levi and Justin. He is preceded by his parents Jay Smith and Mary Keiss and nephew Michael Garrison.A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 1 from 2 to 4 pm at the Garrison residence, 1338 S Carpenter Road Titusville, Florida.
