Our time together was great. Many fond memories with the Chicago PD and baseball in Lincoln Park. Many a pint was shared at the Four Farthings Pub.
Rest in peace my good friend.

Bobbie,
We were stick buddies from 12th grade on. You, Gerry Gallagher, Vince Shay and me. We had so many good times together, so many laughs, so much joy of life. We did crazy things together. It is a wonder we survived those days. Your apartment and Gerry’s were the crash pads. I was always chasing the girls and you were always catching them. And then came marriage, responsibility and all the ordinary stuff of life. We grew apart but only in physical distance. You were always the kind, thoughtful, level headed one – our elder statesman, You were honest and true, always. Now there is just Vince and me. We will miss you, buddy. We will miss you. God speed you on your journey.

Bob had been my friend since we served together in the Army in the 1960s. He was one of the finest, most decent, honest people I ever met, and perhaps the funniest. I am going to miss you, Bobby.
