Obituary of Amber Rachel Black

Amber Rachel Black, 36, of Marathon, Fl passed away May 18th 2016 in West Melbourne, FL. Amber was born August 26, 1979 in Marathon, FL to parents John and Peggy Black. She is preceded in death by her mother Peggy Black, her sister Natacha Black and her nephew AJ Smith. She is survived by her Father John Black, her sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Dennis Enlow, her nieces Madelyn and Olivia, her nephew Rusty Smith and a true friend Ed Cardinale. Amber was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to laugh, sing, dance and eat. She enjoyed playing pool and being a cheerleader for the pool team with pom poms. She was awarded the Volunteer of the Month serving Sunday breakfast and dinners to veterans at the American Legion where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. As a child Amber enjoyed spending summers at her Grandparents farm in Tennessee taking line dance lessons and picking fresh blackberries. In Marathon, she loved taking ballet, tap and jazz classes, going to the beach and taking care of the neighborhood stray animals. After moving to Melbourne Amber enjoyed trail riding and mud-bogging with her brother-in-law, Dennis, and sitting around a camp fire with a cold beer listening to music with good friends. She loved going to concerts and monster truck shows with her dad and being treated to a day of pampering at the salon by her dad. The best time she ever had was swimming with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key, FL. Amber had a pure love for her nieces Madelyn and Olivia who adored their Aunt Amber and they showered her with a pure, unconditional love that only children know. (along with countless pieces of original art work). She would watch them play and perform magic shows and sing and dance for her. She loved practical jokes and was constantly at battle with her brother-in-law Dennis playing jokes on each other. Her smile was contagious and anyone who met her instantly fell in love with her charm and sense of humor. Amber had a strong love for life and an appreciation for the little things in life that most people take for granted. She loved anything chocolate, Mountain Dew and her sisters green bean casserole. Amber and her sister Lisa had a long standing tradition to watch A Christmas Story every Thanksgiving and Christmas over and over again until their stomachs hurt from laughing. Amber enjoyed singing Karaoke and was the lead singer in a local band in Marathon for a short time. Her positive attitude and strong will in the face of every challenge she encountered will be the legacy she passes on to those people fortunate enough to have known her. She taught us all to never let the things you want in life make you forget the things you have.A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday May 29th 2016 at 4:00 PM at the VFW 4401 Dixie Highway NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905
