Frank and I grew up together in Atlanta. Yes he was quite the fisherman even then. I recall the many trip we made to Rock Eagle fishing. Once we were not doing to well and Frank suggested we go to the middle of the lake and drop anchor. I no time at all we had seven or eight nice bream. We had many other trips, to the mountains in north Georgia one Thanksgiving day. All camps were closed but one we talked into letting us stay for the night. It was cold as heck, but we fished that day but to no avail. We had many other fishing trips together. He was quite the gentleman and never seemed to get upset, except when a big one got away. Several times in later in years Frank came to visit us in Macon and we had many good times talking about the ONE that got away. Yes, I will miss him greatly and would like to contact his son’s. My e-mail is cstelling@cox.net..

I did travel for Frank for many years. He educated me on many places that I had never heard of before. He loved to travel and of course, his fishing. Enjoyed his Christmas cards every year to let us know the unique places he visited. RIP Frank

Frank will be forever in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. Programs he presented to the members of the Florida Fly Fishing Association, whether about fishing or not, were always well received. He lead a very fascinating life and we are glad he shared that with all of us. We don’t believe there is anyone he met who didn’t consider him a friend. May he rest in peace.
