Obituary of James Blakely Cloud
James Blakely Cloud, Sr., age 87 of Palm Bay, FL, whose sense of life was full of hope and bravery, passed on November 12, 2015 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL.
He was born in Wildwood, NJ on April 17, 1928 to Levi and Minnie Madden Cloud. He had four siblings, Elmer, Willard, Dorothy, and Elva (all predeceased). He graduated from Haddon Heights High School, Haddon Heights, NJ.
James was drafted into the Army in 1952 and fought in the Korean War, where he was wounded twice receiving two Purple Hearts. He married his wife, Joan Newcomb Cloud, of 65 years, in 1950 and they resided in Berlin, NJ. He was a member of the Berlin Fire Company and retired from a career in the Operating Engineers Union, Local 825 in 1994. James moved to Palm Bay, FL. in 1994. He was the father of two children, James Blakely Cloud, Jr. (predeceased) and Linda Cloud Easmunt.
He is survived and will be missed by his wife Joan; daughter in law, Rebecca Fields Cloud; daughter,
Linda Cloud Easmunt; granddaughter, Jenilee Easmunt; grandson, Scott Easmunt and his wife Ashley Graham Easmunt; great grandchildren, Wilhelm Blakely and Tegan Marie Easmunt.The celebration of life was held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Rd SE, Palm Bay, FL, 321-724-2224.
