Obituary of Charles “Chuck” L. Meyer
Charles +óGé¼+ôChuck+óGé¼-¥ L. Meyer, 91, died peacefully at his home away from home, Century Oaks, in Melbourne, Florida on Tuesday, November 9, 2015. He was born in Canby, Minnesota June 27, 1924 and was raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Chuck served in WWII beginning on April 17, 1943 with the 78th Lightening Division as First Sergeant of a Rifle Company and was honorably discharged after the war on July 9, 1946.
After moving to Florida in 1953, Chuck pursued a career in Sales and Property Management, retiring from Arrow Wood Adult Community, West Melbourne, in 2001 so he could play more golf and travel back and forth to Sheboygan to see members of his family.
Chuck is survived by his sons Chuck and Phil; grandchildren Melissa, Jason, Justin, Nancy, and Michael; as well as great grandchildren Jonathan, Blake, Brent, and Devyn. He was preceded by his wife Elaine on February 11, 2002.There will be an honor service at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
