Obituary of Thomas Joseph Howard

Thomas J Howard, Jr of Melbourne, Fl passed peacefully on Friday, October 27,2017 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 51 years to predeceased wife Nona Devoted father of Linda(Tom), Anne, John(Susan), David and Dennis(predeceased), 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He attended Bergen Community College, and served in US Army and worked at Pan-American World Airways, Harris Corporation, and recently retired from Eastern Florida State College. In addition to his employment Thomas held numerous basketball coaching and recruiting positions: Ascension Catholic School, Melbourne Central Catholic High School, Florida Institute of Technology, Brevard Community College, Southern Tech College and Palm Beach Atlantic College. Thomas was a member of the All-State Basketball Team Junior College Bergen, C.C., N. J., All-Star Basketball Team- US Army in Korea, worked with local M. A. D. D. chapter and Liaison for Translife Organ and Tissue Procurement Agency. He enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren and was an avid animal lover. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Ascension Catholic Church 2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne 32935
