Obituary of Virginia Hope Hammersley Williams

Virginia Hope Hammersley Williams, who was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church since April 1954, left her earthly life to be with the Lord on Thursday September 20th, 2018. She had 17 brothers and sisters. She was born in Dayton Ohio on February 10, 1927, to George and Elnora Gillett Hammersley. She married Odes Williams on September 30, 1944. To this union was born six children. Virginia was predeceased in death by 14 siblings; one son, Odes Williams, Jr.; one grandson, Kevin Walters; her beloved husband, Odes Williams and her eldest daughter Louann Williams Walters. She is survived by two sisters, Claudia Riley and Ruth Davis. Two daughters, Joyce (Uris) Lockhart of Palm Bay, and Elaine Alfrey of Melbourne; two sons, David (Fay) Williams of Palm Bay and Darryl Williams of Bronson Florida; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was truly loved by her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all. Calling hours will be Monday, September 24th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne. Services will be held at The Myrtle Old Regular Baptist Church, 2660 Brandywine Lane, West Melbourne at 11 a.m., on Tuesday. with burial at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
