Obituary of Robert Paul Dunbar

Robert P. Dunbar, born on November 25, 1937 in Catlettsburg, KY, passed away at the age of 80 on November 13, 2018. He graduated from Louisa High School in Louisa, KY, served 3 years in the United States National Guard, and graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He retired from Harris Corporation after 23 yrs and proceeded to work for Pro Health and Fitness for another 12 years until he fully retired. He is predeceased by his parents, Ina and John Dunbar. Surviving is his spouse of 55 years, Shirley and his children: Doug (Andrea) Dunbar, Lisa (Russ) Kuchenbrod and Kristie (Wes) Meade. He has 5 grandchildren which he adored: Macy, Lindsay, Hannah, Ashley and Nick and 1 great grandson, Emerson. Also, a sister, Stella Dombroski, a nephew John (Alana) and 2 nieces, Terri (Frank) and Karen (Harold) and two aunts, an uncle and cousins. Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed going to FSU football games and the College World Series for several years. He was committed to his family, a great provider and loved his grandchildren and great grandson immensely. He will be missed dearly by all. There are no services at this time. The family has requested donations be made in his name to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250 Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.
