Obituary of John Joseph Wisneski

John Joseph Wisneski, Jr., passed away suddenly from a very rare cancer on November 3, 2016. He was fighting with all his strength and determination and this was not the time frame that was expected. Therefore, family and friends are shocked. At the time of his death he was at home in his own bed surrounded by his wife, brother, sister and children. Everyone was holding his hands and arms to give their love and blessings. John was born on September 13, 1955 in Jamestown, New York. His family moved to Santa Barbara, California when he was a young boy, he loved the sun, sky and beaches and always wanted to return. When a family member became ill they moved back to Horsehead, New York. His father then opened the Wisneski Dental Lab. When his father retired and John had graduated from high school he learned the family business and took over the Wisneski Dental Lab as his first career. As time passed his brother grew and also joined the family business. When John decided to move to Florida his brother Mark took over the dental lab business. John moved to Florida in 1984 and opened a child care center but this career was not for him. His second career after the dental lab was in pest control. He became certified with the Florida Department of Agriculture and opened his own pest control business called Cornerstone Pest Control. Some of his customers had been with him for as long as 30 years. John would often say “it is a hard job at times, but it’s like going to visit with your friends”. John had a passion for cars, enjoyed going to the races at Daytona and Turkey Rod run to view all the old cars along with any other car show he could find. He loved his 1987 Corvette he got for his 60th birthday. He was like a little kid driving it around. Another hobby John had was taking trips on cruise ships. He loved to travel and see different ports of call. He especially enjoyed Hawaii as well as seeing the Grand Canyon and the Indian reservations in Nevada. His life plan was to soon retire so we could start traveling across the United States to see all our beautiful country has to offer. We would often lay in bed and talk about our trips and what we would see next. John was a loving, hard working, honest and trustworthy husband and one of the best fathers I have even known; his children were his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching and felt proud of the men they have grown into. He so much wanted to see his grandchildren grew into young men and women. He taught his children well as they are all excellent parents learning from John’s lead. His legacy will be for his grandchildren to grow into strong adults and become excellent parents as well. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Georgiana; mother Shirley; brother Mark of New York and sister Lyn of Oklahoma. John is also survived by his most treasured gifts, four sons and a daughter. Never was a man more proud of his children; sons John Joseph Wisneski, III of Tampa, Eric Daniel Wisneski of Georgia, Robert Michael Wisneski of New York and J Thomas Hutchens of Melbourne and daughter Leigh Anne Hutchens Clendenen of Alaska. His next best joy was to watch his nine grandchildren grow and play; Kristopher Wisneski (11), John Joseph Wisneski, IV (10), Nicholas Wisneski (9), Ariana Wisneski (7), Robinson Wisneski (4), Piper Hutchens (9), Benjamin Wisneski (7), Oscar Hutchens (7), and Curtis Clendenen. Services were held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Community Chapel of Melbourne Beach, 501 Ocean Avenue, Melbourne Beach, Florida.
