Obituary of Scott Harold Mills
Palm Bay
March 15, 1956 – July 12, 2018
Scott Harold Mills died peacefully in his home on Thursday June 12 in Palm Bay at the age of 62.
Scott is survived by his wife Janine Mills of Palm Bay, his children; James Harold Mills and Meagan Claire Mills and her fiance Spencer Stamand, his stepchildren; Kimberly Elizabeth Burke and her husband Timothy, Beth Marie Green and her husband Brice, and Jillian Marie Schultz, his siblings; Richard, Jamie, James, Doug, Robin, Lorna and David and his 10 grandchildren, Sklyer, James, Cain, Peighton, Liam, Silas, Ryan, Rachel, Quinn and Harper.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Alexander Mills and Shirley Clara Seppa, of Lawrence, Mass., and his brother Alan Mills.
Scott was born on March 15, 1956 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to James and Shirley Mills. He graduated from Lawrence High School and joined the Army and National Guard. He married Janine Mills in August of 1991. Over 27 years of marriage, together the couple welcomed 1 child; Meagan into their already blended family and 10 grandchildren. His children remember him as a driven and dedicated father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams in life.
Scott was accomplished at woodworking and often made projects and furniture for his family and friends. He was a generous and outgoing individual who loved his family and who was passionate about hunting, fishing and watching The New England Patriots.
A funeral is scheduled for July 24th at 9:00 am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the VFW in Satellite Beach. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Scott’s life.
