Obituary of Henry J. Lappen

Henry J. Lappen of Melbourne, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017. He was 93 years old. Henry was born in Winthrop, MA. He graduated from Winthrop High School and served as a radioman in the Navy during World War II. He was a longtime resident of Needham, MA before retiring to South Yarmouth, MA & Melbourne, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Lappen (Kelley), his brother Eugene Lappen & his sister Mildred Teed. He is survived by his longtime partner Kitty Haggerty & her family, his son Stephen ‘Woody’ Lappen & wife Anita & their son Sharif, his son Paul Lappen, and his daughter Janice Duffy & husband Peter. He is also survived by his granddaughter Jennifer Lohnes & husband Gregory and his great-granddaughter Grace. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 1:30pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 5310 Babcock Street NE, Palm Bay, FL.
