Obituary of Richard Anthony Wrobel

Richard Anthony Wrobel, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Monday, February 24th, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born in Passaic New Jersey on February 8th, 1947. He was 67 years old. He grew up in Garfield New Jersey and graduated from Garfield High school as a 4 letter man. After graduation he was drafted into the Army and served in Korea. After returning to New Jersey in 1968 he attended and graduated from the New Jersey State Police academy. He served 26 years with the State Police and retired in 1996. After his retirement he moved to Palm Bay Florida, with his wife Marie, where they had a wonderful life. His interests were golf, boating, and fishing. Rich was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church of Palm Bay. He is survived by his wife, Marie Loria Wrobel; his mother, Gizella Byra Wrobel; his brother, John Wrobel; his sister, Donna Roerich. He was predeceased by his sonn Richard Jr. Also survived by his son, Wallace and his daughter, Annette Worden, both of St Augustine Florida and by his daughters, Wendi Anne Stevens of Raleigh North Carolina and Kerri Lin Palmieri of Melbourne Shores Florida; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services will be Monday, March 3rd, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Fellowship United Methodist Church, 975 Malabar Road NW, Palm Bay, Florida.In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to; Hospice of Health First, 900 Dairy Road, Melbourne, Florida 32904.
