Obituary of Lois M. LeVaugh

PALM BAY – Lois M. LeVaugh, after celebrating her 89th birthday on Wednesday, October 16, passed away on Thursday, October 17. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she married Chief Richard C. LeVaugh, USN, in 1946, and lived in a variety of places: Quonset Point, Rhode Island; Jacksonville, Florida; Key West Florida; Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; and Memphis, Tennessee – wherever her husband was stationed. She enjoyed the life of a Navy wife, raising her children, bowling, and playing bridge. Lois and Richard settled in Bartlett, Tennessee in 1969, after he retired. They later moved to Milton, Florida in 1980, to be close to their oldest son and two grandchildren. There she found a new hobby, golfing. In 2010, Lois moved to Palm Bay to be with her daughter and son-in-law. Her final months were spent at Hannah’s Home where she made new friends and was cared for and loved around the clock. She leaves behind her children William (Dorothy), Theresa (Dave), and Richard (Debbie); her grandchildren Kim (Roger), Michael, Brian, Adam (Nikky), and Jon Paul; and great grandchildren Avery, Dylan, Jackson, Ethan, and Malcom. Calling hours will be Monday, October 21, 10:00 AM to 11:00, followed by the funeral at 11 AM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay. Lois will be laid beside her loving husband Richard, who preceded her in death in 1999, at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, Tennessee, on Wednesday, October 23, at 3 PM.
