Obituary of Edmond J. Tourigny
Edmond J. ‘Pete’ Tourigny, 86-years old and a proud 32-year resident of Brevard County passed on May 5, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. His loving memory is preserved in his beloved wife Rita B. with whom he spent a wondrous 64 years, his eldest son Vernon E. and only daughter, Joanne M. He joins his second son, Laurence C. at peace. His honored legacy lives on in his two granddaughters, Lauren and Sarah Mapes. Mr. Tourigny, or ‘Pete’ as he liked to be called, a native of Massachusetts, proudly worked as an Environmental Custodian with Holmes Regional Hospital for more than 10 years upon taking up residence in Melbourne. Upon his retirement, Mr. Tourigny enjoyed his days of travel with the love of his life, teaching his granddaughters the ways of the world and celebrating the Floridian Retirement Lifestyle. He will be missed dearly.
In accordance with Mr. Tourigny’s enduring wishes, there will not be viewing or ceremony services. Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Fees Avenue in Melbourne on May 20th at 12:30 PM. There will be a tribute video played 15 minutes prior to Mass.
