Obituary of David L. Stinger

David was born October 22, 1945 in Boston, MA to Henry Stinger and Carole Beckwith-Baird. He is predeceased by his mother, father, brother Larry, and sister Susan. As a child, he lived in Jupiter, FL with his mother and siblings where he developed his lifelong passion for fishing and boating. Dave followed the call of duty in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. After returning form the war, he utilized his military training and worked as a jet mechanic for Pan-Am Airlines. From there he trained as a automotive mechanic, where he worked as a master mechanic specializing in Ford and later Chrysler for 38 years. He was a Commander for the VFW Post 1608 in Miami, FL. Moved to Stuart, FL, and became Commander and Vice Commander, for VFW Post 1608 in Hobe Sword. Came to Palm Bay and was a member of the American Legion Post 117, Moose Lodge in Melbourne and met a lot of good people. Dave will forever be missed. David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Theresa, daughter Jennifer, and son in law Kenny and three grandsons, Teddy, Ollie and Kenny. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends may call American Legion Post 117, in Palm Bay from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
